Pop-Up Blogs: No Commitment Required

November 17th, 2005 | Comments: 0

ClickZ and Microsperuasion talk today about Pop-up Blogs, a temporary site that can be used to promote events, product launches or time sensitive issues. The group behind the idea is a shop called Electric Artists. What they hit on is really compelling, not so much for the idea of a temporary site, but the language used to describe it. By labeling the concept within the context of what people are talking about and working within, the company has essentially created a new media channel that people can understand and easily describe to others. Odds are you will see an explosion of such sites, thanks in part to the label itself, as well as the knowledge sharing that can result without a long-term commitment.
